I love to read! I used to write blog posts each month on the books I had read that month. Here’s the last one I wrote. I’ve been researching what books are going to be published in 2020 and there are quite a few that I’ve already added to my TBR list. Here are some books from authors we already know and love, as well as new authors with interesting sounding books coming out. This is a list of 9 books I’m looking forward to reading in 2020!

Books From Known Authors
Ransom Riggs The Conference of the Birds The fifth novel of “Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children“
Miss Peregrine is a series that can be enjoyed by teenagers and adults alike. I’ll be totally honest, I am really behind in this series! I just ordered the third book, so I have a lot to catch up on!
Emily St. John Mandel The Glass Hotel Author of “Station Eleven“
Station Eleven was a dystopian story that came out a few years ago. I love dystopian books, so this was one I definitely enjoyed! Her latest book doesn’t sound like it is dystopian, but it sounds good none the less.
Suzanne Collins The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Prequel to “The Hunger Games“
This book comes out on May 19, and this book is already on my calendar! The Hunger Games was one of my favorite series (books and movies).
N.K. Jemisin The City We Became Author of “The Broken Earth” Trilogy
The Broken Earth books were probably my 3 favorite books I read in 2019. Although this book sounds a little strange, I trust Jemisin to write an excellent book.

Books From New Authors
Since these are authors that I don’t know anything about, I won’t be writing any descriptions of the books. These books just look interesting to me and I encourage you to read the descriptions on Amazon and check them out!
Karin Tenabe A Hundred Suns
Jeanine Cummins American Dirt
Alli Frank and Asha Youmans Tiny Imperfections
Stephanie Wrobel Darling Rose Gold
Mike Chen A Beginning at the End

These are just a few of the books I want to read this year – I will also read books that are a bit older too. What are some books that you are excited to read in 2020? Make sure to leave your picks in the comments so we can all enjoy them!
This is a great list of potential books to read. I love reading as well. Thank you so much for researching and sharing!
You’re welcome!
