I’ve done these types of videos before on my channel, and while I still might do them with just beauty products from time to time on my YouTube channel, I also like to include other things that I’ve been loving during the month that aren’t beauty products.
So, here are the things that I’ve been loving in February. They’re random and unrelated, but they really are things that I’ve enjoyed this past month.
Turtleneck Shirt: This was a recent purchase that I got at Goodwill and I am obsessed! The brand is Pure Jill from J Jill, but I couldn’t find this exact shirt on the website. They do, however, have lots of shirts and sweaters that are similar to this one. I love the color and how comfy it is! It is 3/4 length sleeve so it’s not great when it’s freezing out, but it’s great for warmer or indoor days.
Cloverfield Movies: My bf and I started the month by watching 10 Cloverfield Lane (2) because it was free to watch on Amazon. We liked it, but were very confused by the whole thing. Then, we realized that the Cloverfield Paradox (3) was available to watch on Netflix. Then, he remembered that he owned the original Cloverfield (1) movie. So we watched them 2, 3, 1. Although I’m still not sure how these movies are related, I still really enjoyed watching them this month. They’re definitely sci-fi, dystopian films.
Maybelline FitMe Loose Finishing Powder: I’ve heard quite a few people talk about this product and I was in the market for a loose powder after I ran out of my RCMA No Color Powder. So I went to Walmart and picked this guy up. I’m loving it so far! I use it everyday with a sponge to set my concealer under my eyes. Sometimes, I also use it to set the rest of my face with a brush. Highly recommend!
Pur Bronze and Brighten Cheek Palette: This was something I got in my February BoxyCharm box and I’ve used it every day since. It has a bronze shade, a blush shade, and a highlight shade. I understand these shades may not be for everyone, but in my opinion, they are buildable enough that they could work for quite a few skin tones if you want just a little product or to build it up. My favorite is the blush!
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Mama: I’ve been experimenting with wearing more “bold” lip colors on an everyday basis. I just got sick of wearing a nude or neutral day after day. This shade is not too red and not too orange, it’s somewhere perfectly in the middle. The only thing I would recommend is to wear a chapstick or lip balm underneath, since this formula can be a little drying.
ColourPop No Filter Concealer: This is my second favorite concealer of all time, right after Tarte Shape Tape! The difference is, this one from ColourPop is much cheaper! It oxidizes a little once you put it on, so I would recommend picking a shade lighter than you normally would if you are looking to use this to brighten. It’s full coverage and doesn’t crease easily!
Wegmans Just Tea in English Breakfast Black: This is the tea I reach for when I need a little caffeine, but I don’t want to drink a coffee. I can re-use the bag for a couple cups of tea without it being watery!
