If you have a Monday to Friday job (or any kind of job) that leaves you exhausted at night, you’re probably not very productive in the evening. I know I’m certainly not. I’m a teacher and even though I have a shorter work day than some, I come home ready to crash. I don’t want to do laundry. I don’t want to sweep the floors. I barely want to cook dinner. So, every Sunday I plan ahead for the upcoming week. I get all the cleaning and chores done. I have created a list (FREEBIE!) so I can organize to have a stress-free week.

A to-do list for a stress-free week

Items to Help Organize

One of the very important items on my to-do list is to tidy. Over the week, I get lazy and leave things out when I should put them away. I know it’s a bad habit. Here are some products that make it easier for me to put away on both Weekdays and Weekends.

Shoe Shelf

I used to keep my shoes in a big plastic tote. It was such a pain finding a matching pair of shoes and it wasn’t good for my shoes to be stored that way. So, I invested in a shoe shelf and it has made my life so much easier! I picked one with multiple shelves since both mine and my boyfriend’s shoes have to fit on it. Find the one I like on Amazon!

Makeup Organizer

I own a LOT of makeup products. I keep all of my makeup organized on a bookshelf in my bedroom. (Here’s a whole post on my makeup organization and storage!) However, it’s a pain to pick out the products I want to use and then put them back every day. So, on Sunday’s when I wash my makeup brushes, I pick out all the products I’m going to use that week. Then I keep them in an organizer on the desk where I do my makeup. This way I’m not always using the same products, but I can leave them in the organizer for the week, making clean-up way easier. Here’s the shelf and makeup organizer!

Meal Planner

On Sunday I plan our dinners for the week. Usually for lunch I’ll just have a salad or leftovers, and I always have lots of breakfasts foods around. So the meals I really need to plan ahead for are dinners. Here’s a post about how I personally meal plan. There are so many free, printable meal planners on Pinterest and there are also a ton of cute ones on Amazon. Just find which one works best for you and how you need to organize your meals!

Those are just three of my favorite and most-used organization items that I use to plan a stress-free week. There are tons more I could mention, but I don’t want you to be here all day!

To help you get organized and remember what you need to get done, I’ve created a freebie for you! It’s a Sunday To-Do List. All you have to do is print it out and keep it in a spot where you’ll remember – I keep mine right on the fridge. Let me know in the comments what you would also like to include on a Sunday To-Do list!
